Sify’s undersea cable landing station
In 2010, Sify signed up with GBICS as the exclusive landing partner for India, and became the first ICT company to land an undersea cable. GBICS connects with all the Gulf countries and provides Sify a unique path for traffic to the Middle East and Europe.
Together with EIG, GBICS will place Sify in a unique position, as the bridge between the Asia Pacific-India region and the growing Middle East and African markets.
The landing station will also help Sify deliver managed services to enterprises around the world and catalyse carriers and enterprises into connecting MEA and India with the Asia Pacific region, Europe and US.
